Dr Isobelle Smith is a specialist endocrinologist whose clinical focus spans PCOS, menopause and perimenopause, osteoporosis, thyroid disorders, obesity and metabolic health, diabetes, and athlete health. She is known for translating complex hormonal medicine into clear, practical guidance — and for taking the time to properly understand each patient’s situation and circumstances.

Issy completed her MBBS at the University of Tasmania in 2014 and her FRACP in 2023, with specialist training at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital — two of Australia’s leading endocrine centres. Her clinical experience encompasses bone and calcium disorders, obesity medicine, and the management of complex eating disorders including anorexia nervosa.

Beyond her clinical work, Issy is the Endocrine Society of Australia representative on the Clinical Advisory Committee for the Centre for Research Excellence in Women’s Health in Reproductive Life (CRE-WHIRL), where she contributes to shaping the future direction of women’s endocrine care in Australia. She has completed original research and presented nationally on osteoporosis management and barriers to exercise prescription.

Issy believes that education is as important as treatment. Every patient she sees leaves with a clear understanding of their condition, the evidence behind their management plan, and the confidence to take an active role in their own health.
